Privacy Policy

The short version
We collect what we need to run an ADU rental marketplace and nothing more. We don’t sell your personal information. Analytics and advertising are both off until you turn them on, and you can change your mind at any time using in the footer.
What we collect
If you create an account: your name, email address and password (stored hashed — we never see it).
If you list an ADU: the address, details and photos of the unit. You can hide the street address, in which case the public listing shows only the city, state and ZIP.
If you contact a landlord: your name, email, phone number and message, which we pass to the owner of that listing.
If you subscribe: your name and email, for the newsletter only.
Automatically: standard server logs. With your consent, we also collect analytics about how the site is used.
Who we share it with
We use the services below to operate. We don’t sell personal information to anyone.

Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, the CCPA as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to know what we collect, to request a copy, to ask us to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
We do not sell personal information. If you consent to advertising cookies, information about your visit is shared with Google for ad measurement, which California law treats as “sharing”. Advertising is off by default. You can opt out — or back in — at any time using .
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. To make a request, email hello@findmyadu.com.
Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies keep you signed in, protect forms from bots, and remember your privacy choice. These are always on.
Analytics cookies tell us how the site is used. We collect this through our own domain rather than a third-party tracker, and it is not shared with advertisers.
Advertising cookies let us measure ad campaigns and involve sharing data with Google.
Session recordings
With analytics consent, we may record how pages are used so we can find problems. Everything you type is masked before it leaves your browser — we cannot see passwords, email addresses or the contents of messages.
How long we keep things
Account and listing data is kept while your account is open, and removed on request. Inquiry messages are kept so landlords can refer back to them. Analytics data is retained on a rolling basis and is not tied to your name.
Fair housing
Find My ADU is committed to fair housing. We do not use personal characteristics to decide which listings you see. Search results are ordered by your filters and by whether a listing is promoted by its owner — never by inferred traits about you.
